Homemade Play Dough

Finally the best ever play dough! This no bake recipe is the easiet to make. Its soft, smooth, great quality and doesnt dry out unlike the store bought ones. Kids have so much fun with it.

What you need

  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Salt
  • 2tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1 tbsp Cooking oil
  • Food color
  • 1 cup Water

How to

  • In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients – flour, salt, cream of tartar.
  • Heat pan (medium high), add cooking oil and the dry ingredients to it.
  • Add 1 cup water and stir until thick.
  • Now transfer the play dough to a wax paper and add the desired food colour & knead well.
  • I divided the dough into portions and added diff colours to each – you can also mix two colors to make more fun colors (Mix red & yellow for orange color – I made a red dough and then added yellow color and kneaded well to make orange 😀)
  • Store it in a ziploc or air tight container.

Hi!! Im Lavanya, stay at home mom of 3 & 2 yr old girls.. My LOs are very active and they need various activities to keep them busy and interested. A monotonous play bores them easily.. Hence, I've started to explore & create activities to keep them occupied - fun & some learning.. This blog is my maiden attempt where you can find simple crafts and learning activities for kids. If you like my page share it with your friends. Also tell me what you think in the comments. 😀 Thanks for stopping by!!
