Pom Pom Ball Drop

This is a very simple activity, I put up for my toddler. But to my surprise my preschooler was very interested in it too.. My LOs loved to watch the pom poms drop down the tube into the box 😀

What you need

  • Toilet paper rolls / Paper towel rolls
  • Pom poms
  • Tape
  • Coloured construction paper
  • Small packaging box

How to

  • Glue the coloured construction paper onto the paper rolls & tape them to the box. You could use the bare ones too.
  • Let your LOs drop the pom poms through the tubes. Yeahh its that simple!!

Give them tongs, measuring spoons, cups to scoop the pom poms – develops fine motor skills. My preschooler was dropping the pompoms into the matching color tubes – color sorting exercise. Sometimes they’d put too many pompoms through the tube and they’d get stuck. Just poke them through.😀

Another fun way to play with it – You can stick these rolls to the walls or doors & place a box to catch the pom poms. Let your LOs drop the pompoms through the tubes & watch them drop into the box. Mix and match big & small rolls, place few diagonally, place one below other, to make it more fun.. Im definitely trying it after we get some painters tape (makes peeling off real easy and doesn’t do any damage). 👍

Busy Bag – This is a great for busy bags too. Glue the construction paper on the toilet paper roll & let it dry. Add it to a ziploc filled with pompoms.
