Blow Painting

Painting is always fun. And its more fun when you explore different mediums to do it. Today we will be using straws to blow the paint to create a one of a kind abstract art. Doesnt that sound fun?  Kids of all ages will love this activity. They can make all sorts of artwork & designs using different colors. The possibilities are endless. The older the kids, the more room for creativity.

What you need

  • Paint
  • Plastic Straws
  • Paper

How to

  • Add some water to the paint, so that its flows easily.
  • Use spoons, add a dollop of paint to the paper. We used the fingerprint sheets.
  • Use the straws and blow the paint.
  • Repeat with different colors.
  • Let it dry.

You could create various patterns by varying the consistency of the paint. The more watery it is, it will create thin streaks. Ours was not watery because i didn’t want to risk my LOs drinking it. (We were out of homemade paints & used store bought ones). But for older kids you can. Or safely use home made paint and mix with water for desired consistency. My LOs had so much fun. We created monsters. Once done painting, we just glued some googly eyes, drew some eyes and smiley using markers on it. It looked really cool.. Eventually this activity turned into finger painting.. And we got all messy 😂
