Match the Shapes – Busy Bag Activity for Preschoolers

This is a simple activity you can set up in less than 2 mins. It develops fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination & shapes recognition.

What you need

  • Foam sheet
  • Scissors
  • Permanent Marker
  • Clothespin

How to

  • Cut the foam sheet into daisy, star or small square.
  • Draw different shapes on each side of the foam sheet using permanent markers.
  • Draw the same shapes on the clothespin.
  • Let your LOs match the shapes and pin up the clothespin to the foam sheet.

You could also do this with alphabets & numbers. Get the alphabet & number stickers. Stick them on the foam sheet & on the clothespin. Let your kids match them. This activity is a quite busy bag and comes handy when mommy needs some me time 😀

Hi!! Im Lavanya, stay at home mom of 3 & 2 yr old girls.. My LOs are very active and they need various activities to keep them busy and interested. A monotonous play bores them easily.. Hence, I've started to explore & create activities to keep them occupied - fun & some learning.. This blog is my maiden attempt where you can find simple crafts and learning activities for kids. If you like my page share it with your friends. Also tell me what you think in the comments. 😀 Thanks for stopping by!!
