Pumpkin Dots – Fine Motor Activity for Toddlers

Pumpkin Dots is a simple fall activity for toddlers – a cute way to decorate the pumpkins while developing hand-eye coordination, concentration, pincer grasp & color recognition skills.

What you need

  • Pumpkin
  • Round labels/Stickers
  • Markers

How to

  • Make dots on the pumpkin using markers.
  • Let your LOs place the stickers on the dots.
  • You could also use colored markers and labels – let your kids match the colors or use black labels to make a cute Halloween  decor.

I put up this activity for Miss D(2yrs) because she was feeling left out when Miss A(3yrs) was working on Pumpkin Alphabet Match activity. D was so happy when i gave her the labels to stick on the pumpkin. She covered all the dots perfectly & was able to do it with no help. She repeated this activity by placing matching labels on the ones already stuck on the pumpkin – color matching. 👍 My LOs loved this activity and repeated it on mini pumpkins using princess stickers. They call it Sticker Pumpkins 😀

Hi!! Im Lavanya, stay at home mom of 3 & 2 yr old girls.. My LOs are very active and they need various activities to keep them busy and interested. A monotonous play bores them easily.. Hence, I've started to explore & create activities to keep them occupied - fun & some learning.. This blog is my maiden attempt where you can find simple crafts and learning activities for kids. If you like my page share it with your friends. Also tell me what you think in the comments. 😀 Thanks for stopping by!!
