Patterning with Stickers – Preschool Math

My kids love stickers and we always have a lot of them at home. We had some leftover foam stickers and making patterns seemed liked a good way to use them – some workout for fingers & brain.

Patterning with Stickers is a great way to introduce patterns to Preschoolers. Create a pattern and see if your kid can guess what comes next. Recognizing and creating patterns is an essential building block for later learning in mathematics.

Miss A(3yrs) has just started to work on patterns, so we kept it simple. We worked on AB & ABC patterns. I stuck some stickers on a construction paper to make a pattern. Then i gave her some stickers and asked her what comes next. With little help she was able to complete the patterns. Once she masters i will let her create patterns.

Do your kids love stickers? Give it a try. It wont seem like learning and that’s always fun πŸ˜€
